When we decided to release a rye, we knew it had to be something special to live up to the amazing response received by our bourbon finished in port barrels. Spending up to 18 months finishing in Caribbean rum casks, the taste profile of our finished rye whiskey is genuinely unique and worthy of Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson’s legacy.
The taste profile of rye whiskey was a perfect fit for a rum cask finish. After sampling over 100 rums to find the right flavor to complement rye whiskey, the team’s decision was unanimous.
Angel’s Envy spends up to 18 months finishing in Caribbean rum casks, resulting in an immensely complex whiskey. The mingling of raw, spicy and earthy rye with the mellow sweetness of rum finishing creates an incomparably smooth and drinkable whiskey, even at 100 proof.

SUSTAINABILITY
About an hour’s drive from Louisville, Kentucky, there’s a 350-acre plot of land upon which the ANGEL’S ENVY® Henry County distillery stands, and last year ANGEL’S ENVY® partnered with local farmers to turn 91 of those acres into co-opted cornfields. It was a good harvest (in more ways than one!), producing 16,000 bushels of corn, which accounted for less than 10% of our needs. And the good kept going because that corn needed cooks, which ANGEL’S ENVY® employed—43 of them to be exact—resulting in the production of around 40,000 Liters of Pure Alcohol (LPA). With the success of the FY22 harvest, ANGEL’S ENVY® plans to continue its partnership with local farmers for years to come.
